About the Swachhta Action Plan
A milestone in public administration mainstreaming cleanliness, sanitation infrastructure, and budgeted civic action across all Union Ministries and Departments of India.
Swachhta is Everyone's Business
Swachhta (Cleanliness) is everyone's business, and Ministries and Departments of the Union Government can play a substantial, transformative role in facilitating it. Acting on this national call, the Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) was institutionalized to ensure that cleanliness is not treated as an isolated departmental duty, but as a collective whole-of-government responsibility.
